Around the Mountain Pediatric Dentistry utilizes an FDA approved application of Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) to the surface of your child’s affected tooth. Typically, it takes only one application paired with the doctors at home follow-up to have the best results.
Emergencies
As parents ourselves, we know how important it is to speak to someone during an emergency. It is for this reason we have installed a state-of-the-art phone system that can put you through to your dentist. If you are unable to reach us and do leave a message, our system will continue to page us until the voice message has been heard. Emergencies can happen anytime, and sometimes parents just need some reassurance or someone available to see their child.
Preparing Your Child for the Future
We strive to prepare each child to be confident in dealing with trips to the dentist and start on the road to a healthy smile. Each child develops at their own pace, and seeing them as young as age one helps them to be acquainted with our staff and doctors. It also gives you, as the parent, a chance to get to know the dentist and develop a trusting relationship. By age 3, most children are ready to come back for cleanings, check-ups and restorative appointments by themselves and often tell their parents it’s time for them to stay in the mommy and daddy’s room. We love having a great relationship with our patients so that they are excited to come to our office with no fear or anxiety. The goal is to prepare each of our patients for a lifetime of pleasant dental experiences.

We have a very dedicated and knowledgeable staff, but we feel that parents need to be able to speak with their child’s dentist for their check-ups and after restorative appointment. It gives each doctor the opportunity to present options to you in order to help you make the most educated decision regarding your child’s dental care. This time also gives each of us a chance to provide helpful tips tailored to your family in how to maintain good oral health. We believe that good oral health starts at home, and we encourage you to be a part of our team. We will be counting on you to give your child encouragement in good dental care at home, as well as share with us your questions and concerns.
